Why do some people expect you to move out of their way?

Well today I witnessed someone who felt that everyone else should move out of their way get their just deserves.

Two gentlemen who were strolling down the pavement made the decision not to move even slightly for a mother who was carrying her child. However one of the inconsiderate men was carrying a shiny new phone in his hand which was knocked from his hand as he banged into the woman and child, bouncing onto the floor and coming to rest in several pieces on the pavement. Now thats karma for you!

Clueless Shoppers make me mad!

Think the image says it all. Stay away from busy shopping areas if you don't want an extreme bout of pavement rage!

GOLF BROLLIES ARE SO NAMED FOR A REASON!

On another note about umbrellas, surely it is not just me who thinks that people who walk down the street in the rain with a golfing umbrella need it shoving somewhere the rain doesn't fall?

Seriously do these people think that there isn't going to be anyone else on the street when they set out to work in the morning? 

I wonder how long it will be until we see some rain-a-phobe protecting them self with a garden parasol!

Umbrellas do remove eyes!!!

So today was the 11th straight of rain in Sydney, a 15 year record which looks set to increase (whoever said the weather was better in Australia than the UK was mis-informed). As you would imagine with so much rain everybody is running about the pavement trying to shelter from the rain with what can only be described as lethal weapons, umbrella.

I'm sure the designer of the humble umbrella had ulterior motives when they decided to put several small points at eye level interspersed along the edge of the umbrella. Especially when the biggest consumer of these compact weapons are female. You wouldn't be allowed to walk the pavement with a javelin in your hand!

However it isn't just the lethal qualities of the umbrella that infuses me with pavement rage, more the lack of etiquette shown by individuals who insist on using them. People seem to walk with the umbrella shielding their face. Therefore not looking where they are going and getting in my way.

I would encourage people to use there eyes when using the umbrella and show some respect for others, if they haven't already been removed by someone else's umbrella!

Middle aged micro scooter muppets

Why do some people above the age of 12 years old think that a micro scooter is a suitable method of transport. Especially on the pavement!

Now this may just be a phenomenon in Sydney that people the same age my parents use these things to shave a few seconds of the time it takes to get from the bus stop to the office. If you have had to dive out of the way of some suit who is out of control on his kids toy then you will understand my sentiment.

Not only have I seen idiots narrowly avoiding sane folk who were using the pavements in a sensible manner but I have also seen people tearing up the aisles of the local supermarket. Granted it was the woolworths in Surry Hills so it could have been some fruit loop from the hostel opposite.

I'm just waiting to see my first pre-senile delinquent in a pair of those shoes with a wheel in the heel trying to stop after picking up a bit too much speed.

DIsmount Cyclists

For those cyclists who insist on using the pavement as a personal cycle path. Who also think that if they sound there bell that those on foot should give way to the road shy eco-warriors then this is for you.

It is against the law to cycle on the pavement and is punishable with a £500 fine. I will be reminding cyclists of this next time any of those lycra clad loony is invading the pavement!
